GS 3 Pay

One of the early grades of the OPM’s General Schedule, GS 3 is widely considered to be the grade of early administrative positions and clerk positions. GS 3 is maybe one of the most used pay systems within the federal government agencies.

How Much is GS-2 Pay?

According to the current GS Base pay, if you are a GS 3 employee the maximum annual pay you will get is $30,379. If you are a Step-1 entry-level employee, your annual salary is equal to $23,368.

Most of the government agencies ask for at least one-year-experience at GS-2 for recruiting employees to be paid with GS-3 pay. The grade is where experience-qualifications are needed. The other previous schedules are mostly used for trainees and interns.

Federal Employees who use GS 2 pay plan make $11.20 per hour according to the base General Schedule Plan. The amount is not a big number but it’s still quite good considering that it’s seen as one of the early levels of a job position.
